Following on from a pilot project in 2009 as part of BBC Radio 3’s Free Thinking festival, young people aged 11-18 from across NewcastleGateshead were invited to rant for two minutes about topics of their choice at three events in the 2010 festival. From rants about ‘Lady Gaga’ to the proposal of a 99p coin – there was a wonderful range of content, both fun and thought provoking at the Young Ranters events.
